Dear Jane I guess I will write a line to let you know I am at me Base I went to look Hottie up but found he had gone back to France with the best of luck poor kid I can envy him, I haven’t heard from him since I left for France over 14 months ago I suppose he is—probable kicked the bucket I didn’t like to go to France so some of the old boys were telling me and I don’t blame him either I know I don’t wan’t to go back but I would sooner than stay in this dead hole well I hope I get a letter from you soon I guess I will get a nother Board next week love from Geo
