I hope you are all quite well, I had a letter from maggie today. I got the wool the other day thank you very much for it, I am making  my Sweater now. 
We had quite a bad Snow storm this week but it turned to rain & it is still raining. I had a parcel from Mrs Griffin a few days ago will you thank her for it. Give my love to Emmy & Joan & all at Home I remain your loving Son

I wrote to maggie today I got the money [?] you very. dont let Emmy send any money to the Red Cross for Parcels, I assigned some my self. She has been only to good to me, without sending money there. I hope that you had a very good Xmas. we of course had a very quiet one. Dear mother, I hope you are all well I had your letter today. We are having very nice weather now. I have not received any Parcels from the R.C. for over three week, ask them what gone wrong, I think you had better stop your subscription to them, it is no use you paying when we dont get the parcels, I got the bread from Switzerland all right. I am in the best of health, my love to you all your loving son

I am sorry that you are nto getting my letters since the 19th of Oct I have written regular. many of the NCOs are going away on this exchange I dont know if it will reach as far down as myself, I have only just completed my 18 months. give my love to all at Home. your loving SonTom.
