Dear Wally :-
I received your kind and welcome letter and was glad to hear that you are alright. Yes I know that Mis Brown is marrying Mr Donato as Billy wrote and told me all about. I had a feeling that one day they would be parading to the alter. I am very glad as they are both two swell people.
I see by your last letter there are quite a few lads joining the navy. I guess all the gang will soon be in the navy. I met Dick S. a few weeks ago he seem to be having a wail of a good time. He looks pretty good too although I dont think he has gained any weight.
Nothing much is happening around her. Everything is very quiet. But through all this I am enjoying myself pretty good. I am getting my watch fixed tonight. I broke the glass about three months ago and I have decided it is about time I got it fixed.
I have still got quite a bit of mail to answer. I received quite a lot this last trip in. Vivian and Billy are the next on my list so I should be quite busy tonight.
I saw Bobby Smith today. I see him quite a lot. He says he expects to get leave about December. I hope to get mine before that, thats if my luck holds out.
As for me I am still OK. and seem to be getting along nicely in this navy. Well Wally I guess this all for this time so be good and write soon.
Lots of Love
Jack
