France, June 9/18
Dear Dad:
A letter in from you this morning dated May 6. I am very glad you are feeling better and are able to get out in the car. In one of the papers I received from Fern this morning I see where the speed limit on the Highway is now 30 mph. I suppose that will just suit her.
I have not heard or seen anything of Stafford Lusk for a very long time. I suppose he is in the R.A.F. now.
I sent you some snaps taken at Metcalfs. Did you get them? I am sorry that I have not written oftener lately but my new duties (Ahem!) keep me rather busy.
I flew down to see Fairclough the other and he came flew back here yesterday. Sharpe landed a few days ago and had a drink - lime juice. He was to go on leave the following day.
I had 74 & 75 from Fern yesterday and several Posts & papers. You might tell her not to send any more as I won't be here when they arrive.
You have not said anything about Grimsby lately. Do you intend going over this Summer? Take care of yourself now and don't worry about me
Love
Gord
