Dear Mother:-
Last night I got 16 more old letters including 3 from you. They were Sept 23 Sept 9 and Oct 9. and were two from Mount Carmel and one from New York. You had not received word that I was in France.
I have lost my team of mules and am working the D.A.C. telegraph. exchange so I am signalling again. I hate the job though not so much for this job but because I'd rather have a team of mules. I was out-of-doors all the time then. Expect to go to England the middle of April.
Don't know anything more than that. Though if we move sooner, I'll cable you.
I wish you could meet me in Halifax & go up to Truro with me but don't inconvenience yourself if it is necessary to stay in Truro. There will only be a days different anyway.
My address is just D.A.C. now- not #3 Section.
Recieved a bunch of newspaper clippings in on of your letters. I wish you had sent papers as I get them O.K.
Well I will close now.
Lovingly
Ludlow
