Dr. DONALD ARMOUR THANKS COBOURG CITIZENS.
The World has received following communication from Dr. Donald Armour:
89 Harley Street, London W., England.
November 27th, 1914.
To the Editor of the Cobourg World.
Dear Sir,-
Will you allow me through the columns of your paper to express to the people of Cobourg my deep appreciation of the interest already so generously shown by them in the Queen's Canadian Hospital, of which I, an old Cobourg boy, have the honor to be surgeon-in-chief
Surely it augurs well for a successful issue to this great crisis in the affair of the Empire to find that its citizens, no matter how far divided by time and distance, are loyally working shoulder to shoulder to send out our brave soldiers fully equipped to withstand the hardships of a winter campaign and to add to their comfort and to ease their sufferings when they return wounded to the hospital.
May I assure you, my dear old Cobourg friends, that everything, whether in money or in kind, sent to me will be gratefully acknowledged and will be applied by me personally to the most pressing needs of our soldiers, whether on service or in hospital.
The generosity and interest shown by you in the work given to one of your own to do in this great struggle for our land and our liberties proves that we of Cobourg all stand upon one common ground, there is no sea between us.
Very Sincerely yours,
DONALD ARMOUR.
