Dear Fred

I will try a few lines have had a terrible cleaning out have been thinking of you the time you came over if the smell was any worse than here it was something most terrible we have have had fair sailing to but my insides are no good will try and write to you once in a while, we laid in Halafax Harbor from Sunday untill Wed. and we have been all the rest of the time out here on the creek one of the four vessel is no good we are on the best the Scandanavian and have one escort will get some more soon was glad I saw you in Grimsby Mary wrote me telling me how you help the kiddies will write you showing you where I am soon goodbye
