Dear’st big little family

I have enjoyed this day very much we marched over to an estate of some big guns, had a field to ourselves had races drills and lunch, two of us whent over in the other part of the Estate it is very nice looking country everything is very green, ferns heather thick grass furs tamrack I got some pitch to chew and some berries like our thimbles not as good saw a herd of cows looked like your folk’s cattle we walked through a pine grove every stick was picked up like it is in Mohawk Park is now looked like fox hunting ground, the lanes or roads running in to this place are just wide enough for a wagon to pas a man, the sides of it is a tangled mass of big trees and thorns. Holley and bushes wich meet overhead making a tube or arch the branches are covered with green mould. I suppose you notice my zebb’s and so on I do put b’s for p’s in little thing like put sometimes did you notice, I picked up some very little pine combs and chestnuts, acorns wish I could send them for you just to see Got a new coat and putties. Will get a cap shoes socks shirt tomorrow. I am glad to say my teeth did not hurt any to day very glad they are out I am feeling fine for a damp place like this suppose my blood has kept the cold out, it was very wet in the grass to day misting most all day, I have cut my finger which bled bad and teeth bled yesterday and night which helpes to keep it thin but I am heaver and my skin is softer in this air I got your letter last night just as I went into bed it was a great big letter and news eight or ten fellows read that clipping two or three of them get thoes other clippings but I had not got this clipping my it does make me feel good to hear from you how gentle sober clear kind steady thoughts and feelings for poor me your strong make up and iner life are most wonderful, hope you can get the water handy soon, it has been terrable for you that hot spell wish I could get back befor the last of Oct. to look after things a little. Will write our Folks they will look after some of the arrangements and managing do not be backword in asking my dear for this time, keep your strength for the future please honey life is sweet sometimes to you isnt it well girlie I will write some more again before Thursday night when the mail goes out for Canada I did not get last nights finished in time for it goes at 700 Well I hav’nt time to write any more dears wish gather you all around me for aminute or two and kiss hug and pick you up in my arms oh I can see you as I said goodbye baby and you Don. I did feel it then going away when you are so many and the shape you are in But its along way to tickle Mary and I wouldn’t mind if Mary dear was here But you are my own in my beautiful memery
