Dearest Joe:-

Well honey-chil here I am again slow but sure, thats me.

I am sure glad to hear that you got some leave, how long did you have and where did you go, out walking?

Things at home are going swell but I still haven’t gotten over my holidays yet I wish holiday’s could last forever.

I sure will keep my fingers crossed for when you come home as I am looking forward to you and I being to‑gether again and what a time we could have.

Dorrie has just come back from Edmonton and she stayed with Johnny’s parents and she likes them very much and also likes Edmonton, I sure would like to get down there to see your folks but that won’t be for a long time yet.

Right now I am sitting out in one of the navy trucks and trying to on a board so if the writing isn’t readable you know wha the trouble is.  Gosh I am nearly roasting in this heat but it sure is nice. We are all going out to Thetis Lake to‑night to have a swim. You and I will be doing things like that when all this is over (I hope).

Well darling all I have done is natter so I will close now and I will write when there is something interesting to say.

Love As Ever
Pat.
