Dear Nerta,

Just a few lines as I want you to get me some things. First I need a couple more pairs of sox. Would also like some little sweet cakes with icing between or something like that. You know all this stuff is forbidden here.

Please write United Cigar Stores, New York City and find out at what price they can mail me a box (I think 200 to a box) of Omar and also Fatima cigaretts. As soon as you hear, send them money order for 200 Omar’s & have them rush them you had better get 500 price too, and let me know what their prices are. These cigaretts can be bought in Canada, but cost practically double U.S.A. prices. They are done up in packets of twenty, ten packets to a box & sell for 10 or 15¢ a packet while we have to pay about two shillings for 20 as good over here. They may be able to give you a good price for 500 & I could perhaps sell them.

Your loving brother,
Worth.
