Just a line to thank you for your letter I received yesterday. Well as there isn't much to talk about I'll first of all wish you all a happy "noo" year and hope you didn't eat too much for Xmas.
We had a jake Xmas dinner of turkey, plum pudding, nuts, oranges, cabbage and spuds. One company waited on the other and each took a turn. I was one of the waiters on one of the companies. After the company had finished there was a lot of grub left over so the waiters had turkey and plum pudding..some feed believe me.
We were inspected by some general or something like that today and all turned out polished to the nines. I was on fatigue yesterday where an anti aircraft gun was at work. Gosh you should see the smart way they work it. Just like clockwork..it was a sight. Also they were shooting with some big batteries and you could see the shells going through the air easily with the naked eye.
Well, old sport, write soon or I'll knock out a couple of your teeth when I return
Your loving brother,
