Dear Dad

I am enclosing the only little remembrance I could think suitable. Please let me know how it suits you.

We got paid today – fifteen bucks – I am going to try to bank some of it. I am rather ashamed to say I blew in nearly every bit of last months pay. I am thinking of putting in for a pass at the end of May so that Helen and I may return home in state. Aunt Agnes hopes very much to have Helen home with her for a couple of weeks after school closes. Her idea is good for it would give Helen a chance to return home in a stouter condition than at present.

Recruits are coming in at a very good rate. Yesterday brought us fifteen.

Well old man I must close as I want to do a little shopping before six.

With love to you all,
Your loving son
Sid
