Tue April 28, 1942:
Day spent lying around the pavilion gardens. Hec. Ruben & I did some impromptu balancing.

Wed April 29, 1942:
Parade in the morning, we were divided into squads. I was put in charge of my squad. In the afternoon, Rubin & I did some balancing in the Pavilion gardens. Later we played a game of golf on the putting green.

Thurs April 30, 1942:
Parade in the morning & afternoon. The weather is getting hotter & our faces are taking on quite a good tan. I saw Olson & Johnson in “Hellzapoppin”.
