Dear Grandmother:

I received your parcel on Sunday, and it was certainly good. Everything was fine, and in the best of condition.

I was in Paris for Xmas and it certainly is some place. The Y.M.C.A. gave presents away Xmas Eve, and a dinner Xmas night. The dinner certainly was fine – turkey and all. I guess they would have a hard job getting the stuff in France.

Everything is much the same. The weather changes quite a bit – one day snowing and freezing – next day raining. It’s certainly some climate.

The folks seem to like the new place alright. I’ve been wondering if you went down there for Xmas. They expected you’d be there.

Well I’ll have to close. Feeling fine – hope you’re all the same. Thanks very much for the parcel.

Your grandson,
I.D. McLellan

P.S. There is a fellow in the same bunch as I am, who was with me in Paris. I happened to mention Komoka and he said his mother was from there. Her name was Mary McTaggart – married a man named Whitlock and says she is about 70 years old now. He seemed to think that we might be 92nd cousins or something. I wish you’d let me know. Ivan
