June 30th 1916
Dear Brother William :- In answer to your letter of June 10th. I am very glad to know that you are all in the Ginger shape of health, as this leaves me the same. Henry is feeling fine in the hospital as far as I know from his last letter. I hear from him right along. It only takes a letter about 4 days to come and go from where we are. So Teddy Leake has left with the 94th. Well! he don’t know what is ahead of him, of course that is his own look-out. I read all those papers, through you sent me. That seems to be the only news you care about, is that scoop stuff, Say, is that safety – first, razor on its way yet. The weather here is delightfully warm, the sun is shining bright just like old Port Arthur. You have done well to have all the garden planted. No more for this time. Write soon!
