Postcard January 23, 1917 back

Dear Inez,

This is a snap taken while back in billets a few days ago.

You will see that I was not [?] night worrying about Fritz.

[?] are in [?] again and I am writing this in dugout. It is quite cold outside and ground is covered with snow. Fritz is very quiet to-night. Probably he is saving up for Bill’s birthday which will soon [?].

Shall write letter in few days.
