Dear Olga Hubby & family -
Well stranger, it surely is a long time since we have heard any news from you, although the Mcleans Magazine coming twice a month is a link with you, and it is surely appreciated. It is our best Canadian magazine. We appreciate it very much, and wish to thank you for it. We think of you often and would very much like to get back to Ontario again, and see you all but something always turns up, and we never get a chance to get that far.
We are in the midst of fire season again and I am busy as usual on the lookout for fires, and getting my land, game & fish work caught up. Have two assistants this spring, and we are all busy.
We got a new Terraplane car this spring, and we are all busy this time. We looked all the new cheap models over and decided we liked the Terraplane the best, and are not sorry yet. We have a Stewart Warner new radio, and enjoy it very much. We are expecting a transfer any time now, and hope it comes soon, as Betty should be at school, she cannot go here, as we are in the midst of a foreign settlement. We have just the two children, a boy age 3 years, and a girl age 7 years, both adopted. Gertie keeps a hired girl, so she has some company while I am away.
Please write soon and give us the news of you all, also dear old Ontario. Saskatchewan is a tough country to live in, long winters, short summers, no tree fruit, no picnics, just work, eat, sleep, and the only enjoyment in life, is at home, or trips with the car over rough roads to the city when we see the movies, fair, or sports day. So long for now, and we promise to answer your letters more promptly in the future.
Yours ever The Browns.
Gertie Betty Bobby & Don.
