Medicine Hat. Cet.

Dear mother

You will see by the address that I have changed my place.

I am joining the second Canadian Contingent, I am sure you will think that I am doing the right thing. I think that we shall be shipped over to England to do our training, because it is too cold out here in the fall & winter, I think we shall come over in about 6 week. of course none of the second contingent know any drills, so I dont think we will be ready to go the Front before xmas.

Please send my mail to medicine Hate Post Office for the present.

I got the Papers all right, they have a lot more news in them than the Canadian Papers. I am going to try & get to see mag for a day for two, I had a nice long letter from her last week. I've changed my mind about my mail, I will write again in a day for two, I let you know for shure where to send it because I see in the Paper that we are [?] to be sent down to Winnipeg to start our training.

give my love to Emmie & all I remain

your loving Son

Tommy.
