Dear Mother -

Altho others have received Canadian mail, I have unfortunately failed to receive any - except another bundle of papers yesterday.

I think I was telling you about getting leave in my last letter. Well, early in the week, it was given out that no Canadians would be getting leave. No Canadian cadets are allowed to go on with course now - only Flight Cadets - those further advanced may. We are to be sent back to our reserves. We were told today that we were to leave next Tues. for our various reserves.

I understand that we are getting the acting rank of sergeant with pay. I have hopes we may remain as cadets. I expect we shall get home very soon now - sometime in January. I had my picture taken in cadet's uniform sometime ago and got the pictures yesterday. Am enclosing a couple. Hope you will like them. They are very nicely finished but I have had better.

Hoping all at home are well. Love to all.
Yours sincerely,
Gordon
