My Dear Sister

Just a few lines in answer to your welcome, we had a letter from Mother Wednesday pleased to hear you are all keeping in the best of health so it leaves us both the same well Dolly i am enclosing two of those cards one for yourself of for Elsie so i shall let you do the choosing i should have sent May and this time but i thought i i would want another day or two till i wrote to Amy then i shall send them one each, hope Lid & Ern box got across alright i thought i should have had a letter from them by now but i guess they will wait till they got settled down before they write, well we are back again for day's rest came out yesterday nice time coming out pouring of rain & up to our necks in mad i sliped twice so you can bet i looked a picture getting used to used to it now, i hope you will not be disappointed but we shall not be able to send you any news of France or Belgium as they are so strict about them so you will have to wait till the war is over then you will be able to get plenty but we shall send you some of these all the time we are able to get them no doubt Mother will let you put her cards in your album, we had a letter from Beaty & a parcel from Annie last night but that got a lot of banging about as when we got the cake out to eat it all crumbled to peices it was a pity as it was fine, Beaty told me that Tommy had come home hurt his knee so he has had to go to bed for a day or two, so she will not be going away now for a couple of weeks, well how is things going on at your work got plenty to do i hope, i think this is all this time only where we are now is like a cow shed but instead of cows they have keep pigs in it but it is clean & dry a change from the trenches so ta ta for the present with love to all
