Dear Mother & Father

I now find time to write these few lines in answer to your welcome letter pleased to hear you are all in the vest of health as it leaves us both the same at present, i am sorry to say i can't tell you where we are as it would only get this letter destroyed we have had a march round the city but it is not like Toronto. It was a nasty night when we left England started raining abut ½ past six & kept dong so till we got on the boat was made it worse it was raining when we landed here you can bet we weary being wet through to the skins guess Anne will tell you that we sent all our money that we had to her to take care of, we should have liked to have seen her but it came so sudden only had 8 hours notice not time to do anything well i don't think i can say anymore only i hope you will no worry but hope for the best so goodbye for the present
