Dear Mr Mackenzie

I am very sorry that I have not wrote to you before this, better late than never. I sent the letter you wrote to me home but dont think it will ever reach there. You spoke in your letter about Mr Marling but I have seen him since the day that I came away. I would like too know Mr Graham is getting along. I had a letter from the Heron boys sister and she sent me the spare period It is not quite so good as it was when I was there. I will be glad to come up and see you when this war is over. I think you will be able to give the boys a holiday in two or three months to celebrate peace. I have just come back from London and the conditions over there are awful, it would break any ones heart too see the people line up there in hundreds and then stand there for half an hour to get a piece of meat a [?] and the ones at the end of the line get nothing. Hoping this will find you and the rest in the best of health. (over)

I reamain
Yours Truly
