In Bed. Wednesday

My Dear Mr. Mayse

So very glad you are better & I thank you so much for the lovely letter I shall always keep it. So glad when "the Boys don't forget" Grammie who thinks of them always.

So grieved I cant come down & see you today, but hope to very soon. I am quite exhausted for the want of some peaceful sleep just now again, & when I tried to get up just now my old heart seems too tired & as I could not hear your voice either my deafness is to bad it's on use my being a "wet blanket" to your visit this time. I know they will look after you well downstairs - better than I could. I send my love & best wishes to you. Friend
