Dear Doris,

Just a few lines to let you know I am quite well. I don't know yet when I am leaving for the front, but it will be inside a few days.

You will find enclosed a stamped envelope in which you can enclose that badge when you are through with it. You can read the letter if you like as there is nothing secret in it.

I am going to mail that New Zealand tunic direct to Tom today, and I am also sending a parcel of personal effects to father.

They gave us all 36 hours leave, but I am only going to Folkestone. I could have made Walvern and Ocle for a few hours, but it would have been parting all over again. Well Doris bye bye for a few day as I have three or four letters to write yet.

Your Loving Brother
George
