Dearest Betty:-

Back again in London after a visit to Blackburn & Oldham[?] I had a nice visit with Bella though short, I preached at Zion on Sunday, poor Bella she still feels very keenly the loss of her baby he would have been two years old yesterday if he had lived. she goes every Sunday to take flowers to the little grave, I went with her yesterday & I could not help but think of that morning at St Peters, when we though our own darling Billy was drifting out from us, you can well imagine what a heart - break it is to see the empty cot, the empty carriage etc., last Thursday I visited Hampton Court Palace

The cable from Blackburn I postponed it as long as I could thinking that I might be able to get along without the money, but it is wise to have it though I may not need to use it or very little of it.

I hope to be with you about the 24th May, my wont we celebrate? I received two parcels while at Bellas sent on from France one from Billy[?] the other from Emerson Baft[?] Ladies which Good Night my dears heaps of love & kisses to your dear self & kiddies
