We have got so far through
this new morn without an

Dear Ivy

I heard from Woodbridge last week & heard the sad news of George being killed in France (I wish we could hear it is a mistake) we are indeed sorry to hear it, for we all thought a lot of him as we saw him the most so got to know him more than the others please accept one heartfelt sympathy to you in this great loss I know how you will miss him & being the eldest too please give our kind regards & Deep Sympathy to yr Father & Brothers & Sisters it is so sad to lose 2 boys out there I do hope & pray that Eric & Russel will be spared to you I havent heard anything from either of them but I hope they are alright George was the only one to write since poor Leslie was missing they were both good boys to write for we like to hear about them if only a card to say they were well and as we hadnt heard from G for such a long time we had begun to think that something had happened & now dear I hope this will find you well also all at home & trust you will all be given strength to bear this fresh trial oh what a blessing it would be to hear it all at an end for there is so much sorrow all around us & now I must close with love & kind thoughts from your loving Cousin Jael Bushby XXXXX
