April 7th/16

Dear Mother.

Thank you very much for your letter & Parcel, the Parcel just arrived at the right time.

We are having fine weather here now quite warm & nice.

I was talking too Ted Patchford this morning he's getting along fine so far, & he seems to be looking pretty good.

I have a nice long letter from maggie & another from Mrs Evans yesterday.
I met a Boy from Drayton the other night, he was on a Ration Party, I didnt catch his name, I asked him where he came from, because he said he was in the Shopshires, I wish you would try & let me know were Vernon Taylor is, if you let me know the number of his Battalion I might be able to find him it is nice to meet someone that you know out here.

I just bought a Gillete safety Razor for 5 francs it is quite a good one, a franc is only worth 9 I will write again, in a few days as we are having a Batting parade today, we just came out last night after a 16 days tour.

give my love to all at Home

your loving Son

Tommy.

Tell Sadie I hope that the Pig does fine.

I hope he'll be in good condition when I get Home.
