My darling:

Got your letter written on July 1st, today. I know you may never get this letter, but just in case they decide to keep you over there longer than you expect, you may like something to read.

I'm so glad they are sending you home at last. Ever since the day you sent the cable to your father telling us not to write anymore, I could hardly sleep or eat, I've been so excited. If you don't get here soon I'm going to be a nervous wreck. It must be love, darling.

I see from your letters that you are an F/O now. Why didn't you mention it? Well anyway congratulations.

I was talking to Len, on the telephone. He's been very busy, so as yet I haven't seen either Jessie or him. And anyway I think I'd just as soon wait for a few weeks now until you and I can see them together.

I certainly won't forget that date that we have, and I hope there will be lots and lots of them.

Everybody's so glad to hear that you are coming home. I don't think there is a day goes by that W. G. & I don't talk about it.

Well dear I'm afraid there isn't much new to tell, and I'm sure you must be tired of hearing how glad I am that you are coming home, even if I could talk about it for hours, so until I see you

Loads of love,

Your Hilda
