My dear Sister

I just thought when I had nothing else to do today that I better drop you a line or two I am on my usual health hoping this will find you all the same. I wrote you last week it will be half by now. I wonder what is wrong with Alich I wrote him long ago I also wrote D.C. the same day and its two week's since I got a letter from him. I wonder is he angry with me for anything.

Well Mary I have nothing at all new this week all the farmers here are busy at the harvest work, they have very good crop this year, but some of them had a lot spoilt with hail, one fellow just beside us had 900 acres of wheat spoilt that was a great loss min you

We haven't been to Dundurn to day again the day is so hot and we were afraid the muskeitous would eat us, but the buggers will so be frozen to death thank God, but I espect to go soon and see Miss MacLean of Skye soon to see what shes like. How is all Grimsay getting on, any dancing nowadays? there is any amount going on here, but I don't report myself there for I see my sleep hears [?] enough without dancing I would like to get Murdo MacPherson adress as I think he is not far from me. Also Donald Macdermid's he is quite a bit away, but however I might go and see them in the winter. Well as I have nothing of any interest to tell you I will close with love to you all hoping to hear from you soon

Yours Loving brother
