My Dear Jay,

Your letter of the Feb 15 received, it is a month today since you wrote that letter. I do hope it is not so cold now. Am very sorry your gloves did not get to you sooner. I sent another pair of leather gloves yesterday in a box for Easter. You ought to have it before Easter which comess on the sixth of April, just three weeks from now. & the honey wasn't it too bad to have it run out & spoil everything. I tried to get some solid but could not get it. Maybe I can for the next box. I am glad you had a letter from Charlie Rittenhouse. Violet got one the same day I got yours, glad also you have heard from Art. Wouldn't it be nice to see him. I am alone tonight - the children are in bed. Violet is gone to a Red Cross Concert with Aunt B - Grace is at the Y.W.C.A. Bruce is at Uncle Dan's helping him put the car together for the fine weather. There is still lots of snow & ice but it cannot last long. The boat for Port Dalhousie usually starts this month. Bruce expects to go to the country for Easter. Aunt Florrie is coming down tomorrow to look for a house for the summer. They could not keep the children over the store through the hot weather. I guess they will miss our country home as well as we. We have not had any letters from Jordan for some time now. Arthur has a new suit & looks pretty fine in it. He put it on the other day to go out with me & after spending some time trying to get his hair just so asked if he looked nice enough to scourt me out. He is busy building a bird house. We will have some more snaps soon to send you. Arthur is growing Jay; you will see a change in him when you come home & I hope it will be this summer. Do you get the papers we send? From then you will see how the war is going. Most people think it will end soon, & won't we all be glad and proud of you. Be brave & good. We are always thinking of you & praying for your safety & your coming home.
