Dear wife,

Yours of the 13th ult. to hand. Received one from Syd the same day. He says you are staying in Winnipeg, as it may influence Fred's enlistment.

Glad to hear you waited for Philip's exam. He ought to do well this year.

I have received the papers all right; Tribune, Saturday Evening Post, and Literary Digest. They are very welcome. More than myself enjoy them. As for parcels, I received one from the Nantons months ago, and one from the A.M.C. Auxiliary, which I have acknowledged to Mrs. H.M. Murdoff, 215 Oxford St. Have not received the T & B tobacco yet but expect to see it soon.

Where is Bessie staying in Vancouver? I did not know she had gone till your letter. Too bad you are all separated.

Yes, you told me before of Grace's wedding. Give her my blessing.

Have heard from Syd; he is going to 11 Reserve Battalion, Seaford, so possibly he will soon be out again. Have not heard from Jack or Frank lately, but Syd has and they are all right.

We are having nice weather. Love to all.
