Dear Mom-

I received a couple of letters from you just before I left for a short holiday in Cardiff, & have had no opportunity of answering them till now. I received the shorts just in time to go on leave, & boy I sure needed them as my others were sure holey.

Cardiff is kind of a crummy place, too crowded & not enough places to go to.
