Dear Mrs Nelson

I am enclosing a customes declaration of a parcel you sent Nellie. He was wounded on the first in the fleshy part of the leg and was evacuated to hosp O.K. He sure is a wonderful boy. After he was hit he thought more of getting some of the other boys out than he did of himself and helped those who could not move alone.

Not having a forward or alternate address on the parcel it was divided and given to the boys of his Platoon. They all join me in thanking you for it. Hoping to have your boy with us again soon as we all liked him.
