Dear Mother
Since the last time I wrote you have been sent to C.C.S. and now I am at one of the base hospitals but have no idea what will be the next move as I only landed here late last night. I think you would better keep sending my mail to the employment company till you here from me again, and suppose it will be some time now before I will get any mail. It is just over six weeks now since I first went to hospital but my stomach does not seem to get any better than it did after the first few days. There are American doctors in this hospital. I do not feel too bad as long as I do not eat hardly anything but that is no bon for the troops when you cannot eat. I saw Percy Risdale the day before I came down here for about a minute and saw Bob Cuthro but only had a chance to say good day to him as they were just passing by when I happened to be standing near the road. Also saw some of Gordon's outfit passing but he was not with that few that I did see. I suppose before long I will be back to our own base if my stomach does happen to improve but do not think it will get much better for some time. Two or three times I tackled a little bit of food but it started to come back at once. So far have not been a bed patient and riding around in the cars and train makes my stomach much pretty sore. It is soreness now more than anything that seems to bother practically all the time. Well this is only a note and will keep you posted how I am getting along. Hoping this finds every one well. With love to all from
Your loving son
