My Dear Mother
Just a few lines in answer to your very welcome letter received to-night glad to see by it your a keeping well. I hope by this time you have got some money I was talking to the Officer to-day and he told me it was on its way if you have not got it by this time I will get after them again and give them a good telling off about it this is the third time I went to them since I came back of pass and I will get after them till you get it. Dear Mother if you don't get the money I will do my best to help you out myself when I get paid in the middle of the month I would like to do it now but I can't for I have to keep some for Cigarettes and postage I am very sorry but I will do my very best to help you. Dear Mother we have had awful weather over here since I came back this was the best day we have had since I came to this Camp indeed it has been a very nice day. I wrote to Mr. Freemantle yesterday and I will be expecting an answere in a few days I will send you Mrs. F. address if she is over here I told him I was over to see you a Xmas and that I had a splendid time, I wrote to Sadie the day after I wrote to you but I sent it to Kilkeel I did not think she would be stopping so long in the Point I will drop her another few lines to-night or to-morrow I think I will have to close to now for I want to catch the post. Dear Mother take great care of yourself I am feeling in the pink of health myself Tell Mr [?] Old Lizzie Minnie B. E M and Annie I was asking for them For you B. E. & M I remain your Loving son Willie
