Aldershot Camp Oct.5th 1916 Dear Sade: Guess it is your turn to write but being as I have some good news to tell you I will drop you a line. Colonel Plumney told us this morning that we were are going overseas next week on the Olympic for which we gave him three cheers. He said we might go of this this Sunday but not later than Wednesday. It certainly seems nice to know what we really are going to do. I guess the whole Brigade is going don't know whether we will all go on the same boat or not. Jess said something about us having a day off in Hfx, don't think we will have a minute. I think we will go right aboard the boat. It would hardly be safe to lest free because so many would go about I think. I certainly like three a day off in town. I will be sending a parcel home some of these days; some clothes I don't need. We signed the overseas pay roll the other day, so Father will be getting a twenty dollar check every now month after this. Did Guy Lindsay come home the other day. One of our papers was coming up the line on the train the other morning and they got talking: I guess Guy must have inquiring about Manro; Scottie (the [?]) said he was, so I have been wondering since whether it was Sidney's son or not. There is nothing new to tell you with with the exception of what I have told you said. Let me know when you are going to marry. I heard today you were going to soon; is it true? (Bye-Bye) Love to you Aff Bro Spence Ps Tomorrow is my birthday twenty years old. Pretty old.
