MyDear Father:

We are off for France after quite a wait; the first party leaves about 1 a.m. and the second a few hours later. We have everything packed and waiting for [?] to blew fall in. and we''ll be there we have quite a lot of stuff to carry but not far to carry it I don't think; next move we mak will be for Canada I hope Norman Logan is going to Canada I think, he's eyes are bad I guess; he played the game pretty well.

What do you think of Germany these days she's going wild I think Take considerable to wake [?] up doesn't it? I think Germany is just being as desperate as possible as the last reserve. I can't she see what else she means.

Had a letter from Harold B. today; he told me [?] Snow's career in the army, I am glad he and John S both got out its not their best place for little boys. Well! being as I have not much time I will close with love from your loving son Spence
