My darling girl,
Have only had one letter from you since my arrival in England, I guess it's the fault of the Post Office somewhere as I feel sure you have written, it's pretty rotten though seeing the other fellows getting letters & none for me. Well darling everything here is going along fine, we have had a few fine spring days, & its very beautiful around here, I went with 5 more of our officers last night & got a Turkish bath, it was fine.
Ted Waller had to go to hospital this morning with a very bad arm, we were all vaccinated on board ship & his arm has been very sore since & now it has turned into a running sore, but have no doubt with treatment he will soon get alright again, I will not be able to go to Mold or Leeds for another two weeks, as my Major is going on leave next week & I cant go until he comes back. Well darling I dont know that I can tell you any more just now, Folkestone is plumb full of soldiers billeted in all the fine boarding houses & hotels, havn't seen anything yet to beat our own Battalion. I miss you & the kiddies more than I can tell, at the same time I still feel that I could not have done anything else, as the old saying goes, "I could not love thee dear so much loved I not honour more."
Fondest love to you & the kiddies, love to the girls & all on the farm.
Your loving hubby,
Jim
