June 21 - All up early and packing up for the 31-mile march back south to the ruins of Fort Pitt. Nothing more we can do here. Reached the Saskatchewan River at 10 a.m. Now only to follow the river east over the remaining 150 miles. Cooked some dinner and prayed for a river boat to come along. It did come along about 1:30 p.m. It pulled into the shore and we scrambled aboard. Hurray for us! Packed in like sheep we sailed away, at about 5 p.m.
