Stand to 4:30 to 6:30 as usual. I had 3 hrs sleep early morning. After breakfast I took the forenoon duty in H. Q. letting Captain sleep. Our artillery shelled Fritz heavily for an hour and he did not reply. In forenoon everything was quiet. Real quiet day. I had work party digging at night in Missouri Trench. All went well. Got a nice lot of work done.
