Dear Mar,–

Here I am again to thank you for the lovely parcel sent June 7th which arrived yesterday. Many many thanks. The cookies and nuts were just fine dear and I only wish you were here to help me eat them or rather I wish I were over with you but at present we can’t always be choosers so we mustn’t complain. The cakes that Em sent I haven’t tasted yet but they look nice and I’ll enclose a little note of thanks. We have been particularly fortunate these last two days in getting 5 parcels in a section of 7 and one of the boys got a pound note so we have been well away.
