Can see coast line of Newfoundland, food not quite so good now, weather cold

Fine day, pretty scenery, stopped tonight by medical inspector about ten miles from Quebec, they found a case of smallpox

Everybody on ship vaccinated this morning, ship started at 2:00 and we tied up at dock at 4:00 p.m., paid five dollars as came off boat, hospital trains waiting for us, Cannon Scott on pier to welcome us, train started at 9:00

At Montreal at 7:00 a.m. this morning, very hot day, reached Toronto at 8:30 p.m., tried to get a long distance phone through but couldn't, stopped in Toronto tonight because of it being too late to go home

June 5

Came to Hamilton by 8:30, Grand Trunk, Father, Mother and Will were at station to meet me with car
