Dear Sister,
I received letters and parcels from you right along but Gee I can't get time to answer them. I am out for a couple of days. We had a very quiet time this last trip. I only fired 5 shots in 8 days and that was only to clean the rifle. The weather is fine and hot and lots of dust blowing. Ronald is getting along fine. I guess he is sick of this war. He wasn't wounded very bad. Just nice enough to get to Blighty. Well I must close hoping you are all in the best of health as I am.
I remain your affec. brother L. Cpl. MacKinnon
