Moved from HOUDAIN on march to BARLIN about 4 miles. Entrained in open cars on light narrow gage RY to CHATA DE LA HAIE, about six miles. Went into huts at CANADA Camp. Fairly good huts but wood hard to get for fuel so we are cold in daytime. Have to go to bed early to get warm. Bed roll is comfortable. Weather milder today. Some slush under foot but not bad.
