Dear Dad:
Haven't had any word from you since I have been back from leave but I presume you are still the same as ever. I am writing Metcalf to-day to cable you that I am all right as usual.
I am enclosing some pictures that were taken at Sidcup. Pretty bloody I think. I hope I don't look like that I must have had a perpetual grin on that day. I never knew I had such a mouthful of teeth.
Am getting on all right as usual. We have done a lot of work since I have been back. Have had a couple of scraps since leave and we have had pretty fair luck.
We had a squadron dinner last night. Quite a gay affair. Soup. Salmon Mayonaisse. Roast Chicken & Dressing. Potatoes & Cauliflower Sweet & Savoury & all kinds of liquid refreshment and a band of thirty pieces playing outside and then a variety show after and another show a 7 a.m. this morning.
Take care of yourself & Fern & Grannie & remember me to everyone.
Yours
Gord
