My dear Sister

I received you most welcomed letter some few days ago also your very nice parcel we had a nice feed when it arrived, the knife is just the very thing I wanted and I'll take good care of it.

I seen Archie Nicholson Hallin yesterday and I'm going to see him tonight, his Battn is quite close to us here. There's quite a few fellow's from Uist with him. There all quite well altho- some of them wishes the war was over.

The Photos arrived O.K., and they're all pretty good. I wonder why D.M.L. brought his pistol with him. I dont see why he needs a pistol 10 miles behind the firingline.
