Tuesday, March 2nd, 1915

Dear Alice, we are getting near the end of the sea trip now. We have had a nice day today but it was foggy this morning again. We finished our sports today except the boxing and that will be finished tomorrow. We were just in the middle of a good boxing match when the bugle went for boat drill and that finished it for today. We must be getting near land because we have just received orders to get all our kit ready to land. I have just finished washing my clothes. I have been doing the Chinaman out of a job, believe me some job. I have got a long letter to write to you as soon as I get time. I have a lot to say. I will have to finish now, as I want to pack some of my kit.
