France Oct 5, 1918
Dear Sis:-
Its quite a while since I wrote you a letter but it's a longer time since I heard from you. The last letter I had from you was on the 8th of Sept nearly a month ago.
Are you going to stay in New York this winter & go to Columbia or go back to Louisiana? Did you go to Nova Scotia this summer? Mother wrote me some time ago that you intended going & I addressed one letter to Dartmouth, but I've never heard since whether you went or not.
My address at present is "Canadian Field Artillery, B.E.F, France." Mail to that address will get me O.K., I believe.
I've been eating blackberries all the afternoon & am quite full at present. They are quite plentiful in the hedges around here.
I tried to see Ralph when I was up the line but couldn't locate him at the time. I was in the same division as him he. I hope I go back to a division when I finish this wireless course but I don't know what I'll be attached to then.
Will have to close now I guess. Write often
Lovingly
Ludlow
