It is Wednesday and Iam going to write the letter I missed last Sunday. Did you get the card and the paper. If I can I'll send you a paper each month if they are any good.
I got a box yesterday from Kathleen. There is a little left by not but not much. That shows the way in which a box is received.
I expect to be on guard or fatigues this afternoon. That is all Iam doing now-guards picquets and fatigues. I hope to be put in the School of Gunnery about January or February and then it is plain sailing until Iam trained.
I havent got a letter from you for nearly a month altho 3 mails have come in. What is wrong. Do you get all mine. You can tell by the dates approximately if any are missing for I have written on Sunday each week and Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
Iam just about frozen now altho the temperature is way above freezing. It is because of the dampness of the air that we feel the cold so much. Kathleen send a balaclava cap which is very warm.
Did you know Herman Mahon was in Truro for two weeks after he came out of the hospital. He must have had a swell time. Did you ever get his picture and give Mrs Mahon one of mine.
I hope there is some skating here but I doubt it. It is cold enough but the temperature isn't low enough.
Did you ever send those snaps. They haven't arrived yet but perhaps it isn't time for them yet.
I got one letter yesterday, from Truro and that's all I've got for about 2[?] weeks.
Well I must close now for my hands too cold to write with.
Iam sending some snaps.
