Reply to No 424447 Company 45 Reinforcements Stationed at Napier Barracks Shorncliffe 21/10/15 Dear Sister I arrived here all right, I was four hours late when I got into camp, but they did not say anything to me, we are have a wet day down here, they tell me it has been raining here every night since I left, we are still in the same old place yet and likely to be there for some time yet a lot are beginning to think of being here till Christmas and having another week then, but we never know how long we will be here, the box of stuff was here allright, I eat the egg and the spounge cake for dinner the apple tarts had gone bad, and the scones were hard, but the pancakes were all right, I had a good run through to London, but I got a slow train from London to camp, but it got there through time, well I can't think of anything more to write, just now everything is just the same as ever, we are eating, working and sleeping, tell the bairns that I was asking for them hope this finds you all well as it leaves me fairly. I remain Your loving brother Alex
